Preface
The grand challenges of society — energy, water, climate, food, health, etc. — have been facing and all the problems need to be solved by the scholars. Scientists and social scientists must work together. But research that transcends conventional academic boundaries is harder to fund, do, review and publish — and those who attempt it struggle for recognition and advancement.
The International Series on Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (INSIST) aims at creating a media for a further discussion on interdisciplinary fields of interest between academia, researchers, and their counterparts in government and industrial sectors. The objectives are to publish, disseminate, and discuss the advancements in the understanding of Science, Technology and Interdisciplinary Research and their innovations. Also to gather stakeholders from academia, research institutes and industries for sharing their innovative and sustainable ideas, collaboration and networking opportunities to deal with those mentioned issues.
This inaugural issue provides 15 research articles on multi, inter, and transdisciplinary areas.
On behalf of Editorial Boards, we would like to thanks all authors, reviewers, and contributors that make this inaugural issue published.
We are looking forward to receive more articles in the next following issues.
Best regards,
Editorial Boards
